North Pole and Santa Claus House, Aug 22, 2010

We went to church this morning for the first time since April.  Really enjoyed the music and the message at the contemporary service at the North Pole Worship Center.

After church we visited the local tourist attraction called Santa Claus House.  If you have ever gotten a  letter from Santa, it probably came from here.

IMG_0651 Did you or your kids ever ride Rudy for 10 cents?  Rudy has been at the Santa Claus House since the 1970’s.

Bob found just the ornament for us, hand painted from the inside.  We did decide to pass it up, but it was beautiful.

I did find a reindeer (caribou) outside.  They were in a double wire fenced in area.  I managed to take a photo through the first fence, but could not avoid the second one.

Even the light poles look like candy canes.

Since it was warm enough this evening and not raining, we enjoyed our grilled burgers and fixings outside.
