Relaxing Sunday in Valdez, July 11, 2010

Believe it or not, we both slept in this morning, for me that is not unusual but for Bob that is unheard of!  Ended up having a cherry breakfast smoothie, sure are loving the Washington Ranier  cherries we are able to get here at the only store in town, it is a Safeway on the inside has an Eagles sign outside.

It drizzled most of the day, clearing up late afternoon.  So we just stayed in, I did a couple loads of laundry.  Spent some time planning out our next couple of moves back up the Richardson Hwy then towards Anchorage.

After dinner of delicious eggplant and chicken with an Italian flair, we ventured out to see if we could see any bears near the fish hatchery.  No bears but gorgeous scenery.

While waiting around for any bear sightings, this pink ice cream truck came by, the driver was even dressed up with a mask. 

 

 

 

 

 

We were strong and resisted the pink truck temptation.

While walking back to the car tonight at the hatchery, we spotted this eagle, Bob got a great shot.
