After traveling for three days, we were ready for a day of rest so we decided to stay here another day. Since we have full hookups, did three loads of laundry, sheets included. With the Splendide washer/dryer combination I can wash both the bottom and top sheets at one time, but need to dry each one separately. So when one is drying I hang the other sheet in the coach so it does dry some before its turn for the dryer. Works for me!
This afternoon we took a short stroll around the Toad River Lodge area. On our way back we collected some more of the free firewood and were finally able to get a fire going as it has misted all day.
It wasn’t too long until we had a visitor. I heard splashing and here is what I saw!!
A MOOSE, between the coach and the beaver dam!!
I ran inside, grabbed the video camera and got this video.
This was so cool!! The moose climbed out over the beaver dam, so all evening the beavers were out fixing the damage.
Tomorrow we are traveling to Liard River Hot Springs for a hot springs soak.

Great video of "Bullwinkle"! He had his ears perked up listening to you narrate! :)
Enjoy the Hot Springs, but beware of bears there!
Happy Trails as we vicariously enjoy your trip to Alaska!!

Loved the moose video. What a great find. What kind of camera are you using for video?
Just found your and Bob's blog and will be enjoying your trip to Alaska vicariously. We went in 2008 and I can't wait to return.
Too cool!! Loved the video! What a treat to have him right in your back yard!
Have fun as you journey toward Liard River Hot Springs!
