This photo was taken at 12:46 am this morning. See how light it is.
Here is where we boondocked the last two nights, in this huge grass area behind a motel in Mayo. It has rained off and on all night, but we had no problem pulling out.
The rain continued to fall all day today until later this afternoon when we arrived in Dawson City. Our lunch today was wonderful, stopped at the Moose Creek Lodge.
Two tarts, one raspberry (mine) and one big one for Bob-strawberry rhubarb and two beef and sausage roll ups.
Had no problem finding an RV site at the Bonanza Gold RV Park, they put us in a 50 amp site (first we have had since being in Canada) for a 30 amp rate of $33.08 CND which includes a Good Sam discount. The RV park has a caravan coming in tomorrow and she was saving her 30 amp sites for them.
We thought the Explorer was dirty, but this one takes the prize.
Right behind the RV park is Bonanza Creek, yes, that is the area where in 1896 gold was first found. The creek has a brown color. We will be going to the actual location in the next few days. This is where all those thousands of Klondikers were headed.
This afternoon we drove into town, about 2 miles, found a beauty salon and have an appointment tomorrow at 10 am to get my hair cut.
All the streets in Dawson are gravel, well today, they were muddy too.
Here is our site for the next few days.

Your blog entries seem more real to me now that we are on our way. We've really covered the miles are are in Dawson Creek. Will be in Dawson City in a few days.
What a great adventure! I can't imagine so much daylight at 12:46 a.m. How are you able to sleep?
Looking forward to reading about your Dawson City adventures. :)
