Hope to Spences Bridge, BC – 95 miles, May 21, 2010

On the road again…North to Alaska,  we are making slow strides in our journey, but that is OK.  We like to travel slowly.  This was the view outside the Wild Rose RV park in Hope this morning.

004 We are finding the following three very necessary to traveling, a paper map, Milepost, and a camping guide (this one is by Mike and Terri Church).   Also our Garmin Nuvi 1450 is our trusty guide.  The five inch screen is very easy for Bob to see, (our old Garmin’s screen was smaller and Bob could not see it) what can I say  about our new Garmin other than ‘priceless’.  It also came preloaded with Canada maps so no need to purchase additional maps.

010 Our drive today was beautiful, good smooth roads and a bright sunny day.  Bob did very well driving through five tunnels, in case you didn’t know, Bob hates tunnels!

Will be staying at Acacia Grove Campground at Spences Bridge until Monday.  Our internet satellite works and with some help from a fellow rv’er with his ‘Bird Dog’ our tripod Directv dish works as well.  Our Directv receiver LNB on the Motosat satellite is bad, so that is why we are using the tripod dish.  As of this coming Wed. our Directv service will not work, it is being turned off  at our request until mid Sept., evidently we are only able to receive the Directv signal about 300 miles into Canada.

028029 I put out our bird feeders and have already had one hummer, the hummingbird feeder is suction cupped to the front mirror.  I am happy!

Very nice campground and a nice place to stay for a few days.
It is great you have already had a hummer. I put up our hummingbird feeders and have only had one so far...business is slow!!
Continue to enjoy your journey!!!
