Sept 4-6: Pioneer RV Park, $28, Whitehorse, Yukon
Sept 7: Yukon Motel & RV Park, Teslin, Yukon, $24
For what we did in Whitehorse for the Labor Day weekend check out Bob’s archived journal, (click on Journal Archives in the upper left corner)
We headed out this morning towards the familiar territory of Teslin, Yukon, but did drive sections of the Alcan we had not driven before because we cut off on our way up three months ago to go to Skagway. It is now official, we have driven every single mile of the Alcan!
Our drive today:
What a view for our lunch today, over Teslin Lake.
After lunch I washed the lower half of the coach plus the windshield, sure looks better now.
Bob also swapped out a door hinge of the cabinet over the sink. By use it was bending and the two doors would not close. So he swapped a hinge from a cabinet under the table and now the above the sink cabinet door closes nicely.
The fireweed is just about done blooming, here is a plant that is still blooming plus going to seed. The white fluff is what it does when it goes to seed, similar to a dandelion.
Tomorrow plans are to drive to the beginning of the Cassiar near Watson Lake. Tonight we do not have internet, we tried to lock on with the satellite but it didn’t work. Think we are in a dead zone for our satellite and no Wifi at the RV Park. (Correction…I just looked and found a one bar open internet connection, so let’s see if I can get this post uploaded.)
