Yesterday, we did not even go outside the RV. It was cold and rained most of the day. Late in the afternoon, I did take this photo, first time we had seen some of the surrounding mountains all day.
Today more rain was in the forecast topped off with snow flurries tonight, we decided we needed to be somewhere else, so we left about 10 am this morning with our GPS programmed to Drumheller.
These ski jumps we on the west side of Calgary, they are from the 1988 Winter Olympics.
At a stop light in Calgary, this consignment clothing store caught our eye. Definitely unique.
This photo is for our daughter Megan who works at Home Depot, hey you could transfer to the store here in Calgary.
We found quite a bit of road construction today…
then…we came upon a sign that said road construction for the next 26 kilometers, but they offered a detour, so off we go on this detour. This is the road we did not take.
Our scenery is changing from treed mountains to open flat land, so many hay bales.
Just before we arrived in Drumheller the road descended down into the river valley with badland type eroded sides.
We made a wrong turn in town so ended up making a U turn at a wide place on the road, Bob is getting so good at these about face moves! Soon we arrived at the Dinosaur Trail RV Resort, full hookup 50 amp site, $32, they have good internet for $3/day (TengoInternet).
Tomorrow we are headed to the Royal Tyrrell Museum!!
