Wouldn’t you know it, it doesn’t rain today, first day in many, and our Explorer is in the shop being repaired. Finally heard late this afternoon that they didn’t find much that was wrong, just needed to clean the mass air flow sensor and the fuel injectors. They are keeping it overnight and in the morning they will check it out and see how it starts and restarts. Hopefully much better.
We are planning on staying here at the same RV Park another night, then head off towards Denali on Friday.
I go outside this morning and smell the wonderful aroma of coffee beans being roasted. Guess what, there is a business across the road, Coffee Roastery, that roasts coffee.
I walked over and bought a bag of their decaf, they keep all the roasted coffee in freezers that line the room, $8 for 12 ounces.
Below tells a little history about the RV park where we are staying, the homestead of Tex Cobb. Right where all the RV’s are he raised potatoes.

I hope the truck is fixed and you have no more issues. If it is clear as you head north be prepared to pull over in a turn out right as you come over the hill in a town north of Houston...maybe the name is Willow? If it's clear then it would be your first view of Denali. We were heading south and there was a big crowd there, so we missed the stop...but it's your first good look at the mountain if it is out. We didn't see it until our 5th day in the viewing area, but it was sure MAGNIFICENT!!
Sure hope you get the car fixed up good as new!
Very interesting story about Tex Cobb....thanks for sharing!
