The service tech from Freeway Tire arrived shortly after 9 am and by 10:15 he was done. We had a new tire mounted and the old tire plugged and we have it to use as a spare on our trip to Alaska this summer. The problem was a 5/16” x 1-1/4” bolt.
By 10:30 we were on our way to Mexico along with John, Judy and Mollie. Here we are parked at the Border in Lukeville.
With the heavy rains of the past three days the border crossing was digging out from the mud.
This time crossing the border both of our RV’s were waved to pull over and were inspected. I think they were looking for cases of wine or liquor. We have our share of the above, but not cases. Evidently each person can bring 6 bottles of wine and 2 liters of liquor across into Mexico. We were within that limit. Each RV passed with flying colors and we were on our way to Puerto Penasco.
Over the next 20 or so miles, we came across areas where the road had been under the water in a flash flood.
Some dry washes were not.
Before long we arrived at Playa Bonita RV Park. It is about 1-1/2 hour south of the border.
We were greeted by a gentle surf, light breeze, and as you can see -- not a cloud in the sky.
In the special moment in life…Take a chance!
